Memphis In May Festival
Bringing the World to Memphis….and Memphis to the World!
This month-long event brings education, fun, music and BBQ to the Bluff City.
Enjoy tunes from classic artists as well as today’s radio stars at the Beale Street Music Festival May 4-6. This festival showcases musicians from every music style imaginable. Artist this year include: Post Malone, Jack White, Queens of the Stone Age, Margo Price, Love Light Orchestra, Robert Randolf and the Family Band and more.
The top BBQ teams converge on the bank of the Mississippi River during the World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest on May 17-19. Being the “best in show” at this competition offers a big prize check and some serious, saucy street cred.
The celebration closes with the 901Fest featuring local musicians on May 26 followed by the Great American River Run (half marathon and 5k) on May 26.
Memphis in May honors a different country each year. This year, the honored country is Czech Republic.
Events take place city-wide and feature educational and entertaining events throughout the month of May.
Peabody Historic Tour
Take a trip back in time with this 1-hour tour of the “South’s Grand Hotel” with the Peabody Duckmaster. Not only will you hear stories from The Peabody’s nearly 150-year history, you’ll learn behind-the-scenes details about the charmed life of the world-famous Peabody Ducks.
Daily, 11:30am $10 per person
Free Summer Concert Series
Dust off your lawn chair and get out your picnic baskets. The Shell is nestled in the beautiful and expansive park – a green oasis where art and culture come together. It’s the perfect setting to the 50 free concerts presented annually. So, pick a night, get comfortable and settled in for a night of music.
About the Shell: Known as the site of Elvis Presley’s first professional rock ‘n’ roll concert, the Shell continues to bring quality entertainment to the heart of Memphis. Seats are on a first-come first-served basis. There are a limited number of bench seats which are typically reserved for those who have physical challenges. Feel free to pack a cooler but if you’re pressed for time concessions are available.

Nascar K&N
NASCAR K&N Series visits Memphis International Raceway on June 2, 2018. NASCAR returned n 2017 with the debut of the K&N Series and will be back for another year. Raceway will feature practice, qualifying and Race all in the same day! The full event schedule will be released once finalized.
The event will offer the VIP Driver / Meet and greet again in 2018 as it was sold out in 2017 and a big fan favorite! Pit passes will be available to those that are 18 and older.
Ticketing Pricing: Adult General Admission – $20.00
FedEx St. Jude Classic
Past winners include Daniel Berger, Jack Nicklaus, Greg Norman, Fred Couples, Gary Player, Lee Trevino, Woody Austin and Justin Leonard. This annual PGA Tour golf tournament has raised more than $33 million for the children of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Germantown Charity Horseshow
This all-breed event showcases over 800 horses, including hunter/jumpers, American Saddlebreds, Roaster and Hackney ponies, and Tennessee Walking Horses.
