Hank Akers of MH Akers Custom Homes was pleased to attend and participate in the 2010 Clean Energy Venture Summit in Austin, Texas, organized and sponsored by the University of Texas at Austin Technology Incubator. The theme of the two-day conference was “re-imagining and Built Environment.” The keynote speaker was former Shell Oil president John Hofmeister, who spoke of the need for a coherent and durable national energy policy and of creating an independent government agency modeled after the Federal Reserve to shape and enforce this policy. A brilliant speech. In attendance at the conference were dozens of venture capitalists and miscellaneous capital founders there to hear twenty-odd presenters… entrepreneurs of new and innovative clean energy technology ideas and inventions.
Bravo to UT Austin for a splendid job!!
