Just make sure to properly prep them so all of your hard work isn’t for nothing.
- Expand your closet. Turn a full wall into a giant closet by mounting closet organizers (shelves, racks, etc.) onto the wall for a retail display look that drastically upgrades your closet space.
- Add in a breakfast nook. Adding in an additional dining space can change things up for you and give a fresh look to your home.
- Get rid of your popcorn ceiling. It’s going to be a pain, but just do it.
- Hide your ugly appliances. Build custom cabinets around your washer and dryer, microwave, or maybe even your dishwasher while you’re at it!
- Build out a minibar using shelving units in your kitchen or dining room. Not only will it save space by ditching the bulky bar cart, but it can add a chic look to your entertainment area.
- Change up your fireplace. Get a new mantle, or ditch the mantle altogether! Either way you will have a lot of freedom to make changes, whether subtle or dramatic, and still be able to use one of the more functional features in the home.
